Surface Preperation
In the application of GRIPiTe® V20, the substrate must be sound, free of any loose particles or dust. The surface must be thoroughly swept or vacuumed prior to the application. Any contamination of the substrate, such as Old Adhesives, Oil, Grease, Paint, Bitumen, skim plaster or any other substance which can inhibit the adhesion must be removed. Ensure the screed moisture content is within the allowable limit to accept the covering being installed. Should this fall outside the allowable limits VAPORiTe®+Plus must be applied as per method statement.
Coverage
GRIPiTe® V20 has an approximate spread rate of 4m²/litre when applied using the prescribed notched trowel, on a LEVELiTe® surface.
iTe Products recommends the use of the notched trowel blade supplied when using GRIPiTe® V20.
Warranty
iTe Products® GRIPiTe® V20 is manufactured to comply with the required standards for use as an adhesive for bonding backed carpet tiles to access flooring bases and cement based substrates. This warranty is based on the substrate being sound, dry and free of contamination. All application is to be carried out in strict compliance with the applicable data sheet as issued.
iTe Products® further warrants that the products are manufactured to strict quality control standards and that the products supplied are free of defect. We cannot be held responsible for failure due to excessive moisture, flooding or the substrate failing for any reason, or application of the adhesive in a manner not suited to the circumstances.
Application
GRIPiTe® V20 is poured onto the floor and evenly spread with the notched trowel. The adhesive must be allowed to fl ash off and develop its tack which happens approximately 10min after application. This is highly dependent on atmospheric conditions thus this time may vary. At this point the floor covering is laid into the adhesive allowing sufficient transfer onto the back of the floor covering (If the floor covering is laid in too late insufficient transfer occurs and the adhesion is compromised and weak). The floor covering must be rolled immediately using a minimum of a 68Kg heavy roller to promote transfer and adhesion. A final roll must be performed over the entire area once the covering has been laid.

Maximum VOC allowable (gms/litre) 50g/l
